- Creating one-on-one personalized activities
Our team knows how hard it can be to be isolated from your friends and families; this is why we are taking resident interests, preferences and favorite activities into account so we can help to brighten their days and prevent depression. From reading books aloud, art projects, building with wooden blocks, hand massages and manicures to one-on-one puzzles, trivia and chair exercises, we are helping them stay connected to everything they love. - Finding new ways to connect with family and loved ones
We know that not seeing friends and family isn’t easy, so we’re going beyond the traditional ways of connecting to create new avenues. Each day, our team helps to facilitate virtual visits with family through Skype, FaceTime and Zoom, and while this often helps them be able to better connect, we are also finding other creative ways. From visits outside residents’ windows, doorway bingo on Fridays and more, residents can enjoy their friends and family while still remaining socially distant. We are also sending photos of our residents holding positive messages to their loved ones, so families know their loved ones are safe and cared for. - Providing dedicated support
For residents who are struggling, we are offering them the support they need and deserve. With one-on-one chaplain visits by phone and virtual weekly scripture, we are providing residents with spiritual reassurance and connection while strengthening their faith. - Connecting and socializing through themed days and spirit weeks
Our team and residents can both use some fun, so we’ve developed an array of events to help get everyone excited! We’ve held staff parades that residents can watch from their villas, apartments, balconies and patios, treated residents to a variety of happy hour drinks and tasty treats and dressed up in a multitude of themed outfits to make residents smile.
